KC Consulting is looking for an experienced and dedicated Skilled Asphalt Operator to join our growing team in Bellefontaine, OH. Responsibilities:
- Operate asphalt paving equipment including pavers, rollers, and compactors safely and efficiently
- Prepare and grade surfaces prior to asphalt application
- Apply and spread asphalt materials to roads, parking lots, and other surfaces to specification
- Perform routine inspection and basic maintenance of equipment to ensure proper working condition
- Follow project plans, grade stakes, and supervisor instructions to meet quality standards
- Adhere to all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety requirements
- Coordinate with crew members and flaggers to maintain efficient workflow on job sites
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating asphalt paving equipment in a commercial or municipal setting
- Knowledge of asphalt materials, paving techniques, and compaction standards
- Ability to read and interpret grade stakes, blueprints, and project specifications
- Strong understanding of job site safety practices and OSHA compliance
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team-oriented attitude
Compensation: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
