Experienced Machinist
Welding Experience a Plus
We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and safety-focused Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating manual and CNC machine tools and producing high-quality metal components to exact specifications. Experience with MIG, TIG, or Stick welding is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual and CNC lathes, mills, drill presses, and other machining equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and work orders.
- Fabricate, repair, and modify metal parts and equipment.
- Select appropriate tools, materials, speeds, feeds, and machining processes.
- Measure and inspect completed work using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
- Perform MIG, TIG, or Stick welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum when needed.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and production issues and recommend repairs or process improvements.
- Maintain machining and welding equipment in safe operating condition.
- Follow company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and production-ready.
- Work independently and collaboratively to meet quality standards and production deadlines.
Qualifications
- Previous professional experience as a machinist is required.
- Experience setting up and operating manual and/or CNC machine tools.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with precision measuring and inspection equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to consistently produce accurate work within specified tolerances.
- MIG, TIG, or Stick welding experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum is a plus.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and reliability.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and handle materials as required.
